Mold is an industrial product, which is made of specific structure and material. Mold can produce industrial parts with certain shape and size in large quantities, from aircraft and automobile to nails and screws. The parts produced by mould have the characteristics of high precision, high consistency and high productivity. These advantages are incomparable to any other processing method.

It is an important equipment to ensure that the covering parts are qualified. Its function is to make the flat blank into the main space workpiece through the drawing process. The drawing die is divided into two forms, i.e. front mounting and flip mounting.
It is used to remove redundant parts of machined parts, such as the extra outer edges of flat, hollow or solid parts, so as to prepare for subsequent flanging and forming.
It acts on the blank or sheet metal and separates the waste along the closed contour to obtain a punching die with holes.
Its working principle is to turn a part of the semi-finished workpiece onto another part of the material, and make the hole edge of the original punching hole form a flange by stretching.
The former bending or stretching parts can be pressed into the required shape by means of a die. The shaping die is a mold which adjusts the size and contour of semi-finished products to improve the product accuracy and surface finish.

Stamping die is a common type of die, its use method is as follows: metal or non-metallic sheet is put into the mold at room temperature, and the pressure is exerted on it by the press, so that the sheet metal is separated or deformed, and finally the required parts are made.
2. Structure of stamping die
The stamping die is mainly composed of process parts and structural parts. Process parts directly complete the stamping process, that is, directly contact with materials or stamping parts. The structural parts play the role of installation, assembly and guidance in the mold.
